Classic tic-tac-toe looks tiny, but a few habits will instantly improve your results — especially against the computer on higher levels.
Strong openings
- Take the center when it is free — it participates in the most winning lines.
- If the center is taken, a corner is usually your next best choice.
- Edges are weaker early because they belong to fewer lines.
Defence first
Before you chase your own line, scan the board for an opponent win next turn. One missed block ends the round.
Forks win games
A fork creates two winning chances at once. If you can force a fork, your opponent can stop only one threat.
